New Post at Hickory High on Lebron in Transition

Go check it out!

In the videos below from Game 7 vs Boston, Miami doesn’t have a numbers advantage, but we see Lebron attacking before Boston’s defense gets set. In this first clip, Lebron pushes the ball up the floor after a rebound.  Watch Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce on the play.  When Lebron starts his move to the hoop, neither player is prepared to help, as they are still tracking their men. Lebron ends up getting the basket and the foul because Pierce is a split second late getting into the lane.

Sixers-Celtics Game 2 Video Breakdown at Hickory High

Head over to Hickory-High.com to see how the Sixers defended the Celtics late in game two.

After Holiday got burned on that three-pointer, he wouldn’t lose sight of Allen again. On the next two Boston possessions, they tried to get Allen clean looks by running him off screens. Holiday did an excellent job of shooting the gaps instead of following Allen around the screens. Instead of continuing on his normal path, Allen would usually fade away from a defender that shot the gap, but he couldn’t on these plays because of the location of the screen and bad passing angle for Rondo. Video of Holiday’s great defensive effort is below.
